Lotus Domino Server 8.5 - Setup screenshots
I haven’t played with Lotus Domino Server before. I though why not explore the Lotus Domino Server from IBM as well. Currently IBM offers full working Domino server / Lotus notes suite for 90 day trial. Lotus Domino server can be download from IBM website.
If you wonder what IBM Lotus Domino is check out the Wikipedia to give you run down.
Here are screenshot what quick run though Domino Server Setup. To my surprise its wasn’t hard at all. Without further adieu. I am not going to explain each screen at the moment. Reason for that is that I might to that later day with step by step. So watch this space.

Mozilla Weave is a Firefox 3.5 add-on that allows user to synchronize data across multiple web browsers. You can get the same bookmarks, passwords, preferences, browsing history and tabs on different computer and mobile phone. 
1. Make sure you are running the latest Firefox 3.5.
2. Download Weave add-on and install.
3. Open the Weave menu in the Tools menu.

Lorem ipsum – quickly generate filler text in Microsoft Word 2007
Microsoft Word 2007 has wonderful shortcut that lets you generate Lorem Ipsum filler text.
Open Microsoft Word new document and on the blank document type =lorem() function to generate a block of filler text, or provide arguments to the function to customize its output.
Syntax :
=lorem(Number of paragraphs, Number Of lines)
Just type this function and hit Enter to generate your filler text.
Alternatively you can type =rand() in the document where you want text to appear and then press ENTER.

Freeware that convert MKV files to DVD
MKV – Matroska is very popular video format which can be played on PC after installing the codec package or with an MKV player. If you unsure what MKV format is, check out the wiki.
Those of you want to burn the MKV files on to a DVD which can be playable to the DVD player.

Usbuntu – Make Bootable linux USB from ISO.
UsBuntu Live creator installs any LiveCD from ISO imsage on to USB flash drive. USBuntu live creator is a free download for Windows only. I have tested it on Windows 7 work well.

Kerio MailServer - Alternative mail server to Microsoft Exchange
Kerio MailServer 6 was wonderful experience for me while setting up of mail server. As you could see my I haven’t regularly blog, I have been up skill my knowledge to an corporate environment.
Kerio MailServer have Email collabration, Wirless mobile synchronization, Email security, Email archiving and backup and recovery options. Kerio Mail Server is very good Microsoft Exchange alternative that I would recommend.
I managed to quickly ( in 10 minutes) setup a mail server. My test domain and was able to sent and receive email.
One thing to note here, I already have a test domain
1. Domain Name registered, (if you don’t have why not register .co.cc here which is free)
2. Static IP provisioned
3. MX record already setup
4. open ports on router for mail server
5. Copy of Kerio Server 6 Trial.

My host machine was windows 7, after installing this how it looked

Here is where you create mailbox, resources (printer, room, projector, etc), Groups, Mailing list etc.
No need to fiddle with the Active Directory, IIS anything here. So simple to use. Best part is, you can have webmail interface as well.

I was so shocking that I could mange to do this in 10 minutes. I know you wouldn’t believe it either.
If you want to make quickly setup mail server for one of your friend and you don’t want hassle of manage with windows 2008/2003 servers, Kerio Mail server is a very good alternative which is so easy to setup and maintain.
Kerio MailServer supports windows, Mac, Linux. Also available preconfigured VMware and Parallels virtual Images which can be downloaded download section
I am back – Mail server project was Success
Some of you may be wondering why I haven’t been posting any things for almost 20 days. Well you I have been trying to get Windows Server and Microsoft Exchange server installed.
With help of couple of my friend and online blogs, I manage to get a My own mail server fully configured and send and receive emails. It was a fantastic feeling that I was able to do that.
All these years I knew how things work what options to do, never have done on my own. Its was very big challenge for me first. After reading couple of forums, blogs and videos I thought that was simple stuff.. Yup.. It was simple stuff.
Thanks to Bhola who offered me lot of help in getting my router configured, suggesting EditDNS as well.
Thanks to Arun as well who gave me some insights with the exchange server configuration.
Don’t Vijay bro, We will sure get the mini LAN setup with windows 2008 and other client machine in coming months.
I have decided to post lot of screenshots and steps require to get the a mail server running.
Once again Thanks for all your support and Big thanks to my wife Karthikeyini for letting me to work late night to figure things out.
