Run Windows application on Ubuntu 9.0 with Wine

After you have installed Ubuntu 9.04, you may be wondering what things you should do now?

Wine – Wine is a application you should have if you cannot live without Windows application. Wine allows you to install / run Windows native ( notepad, Internet explorer etc) application in your Ubuntu machine.

To install wine

sudo apt-get install wine

Once you have installed Wine, run the configuration before attempting to install your favorite Windows Application (Application –> Wine –> Configure Wine)
